Flower Care

A quiet method for keeping your arrangement at its best — from our florists to you.

Step 01

On Arrival

Unwrap slowly. Place the arrangement in a cool room, away from direct sun and drafts.

Step 02

The First Water

Fill a clean vase with cool, filtered water. Change water every 48 hours to keep it clear.

Step 03

Trim Every Two Days

With sharp scissors, cut 1cm from each stem at a 45° angle under running water. This reopens the vessels.

Step 04

Remove Fallen Leaves

Any leaf below the waterline should be removed — leaves in water shorten longevity.

Step 05

Avoid Fruit & Heat

Ripening fruit emits ethylene which shortens bloom life. Keep arrangements away from fruit bowls and radiators.

Step 06

Rotate the Vase

Turn the vase a quarter each day — the flowers open toward the light and will otherwise lean.

By Flower

A note on longevity.

Flower

Roses

Trim daily. Remove outer 'guard petals' if bruised — the bloom beneath is often perfect. Roses last 5–7 days with care.

Flower

Peonies

Peonies open dramatically. Enjoy the first three days of the bud, and the following days of the full bloom. 4–6 days.

Flower

Orchids

Orchids prefer indirect light and gentle water. Mist the petals lightly every second day. Lasts 2–3 weeks.

Flower

Hydrangea

Submerge the entire head briefly under cool water if drooping. They drink through the petals as well.

Flower

Tulips

Continue to grow after cutting. Trim daily; they will move toward light beautifully.

Our Freshness Promise

If your Lili Flowers do not last at least five days, we will replace them. Composed the morning of delivery — always.
